Josh has been a member of the Refreshing 90.9 fm team since September 2012. Prior to that, the Lancaster-native worked several odd jobs, including as a substitute teacher. He also served as an intern with Refreshing 90.9 fm from 2008 to 2009 where he wrote and voiced sports reports. In addition to his position as News/Production Director, he serves as a volunteer sports broadcaster for WFCO, which he has done since 2008.
Josh attended Miami University in Oxford, OH where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and History. While in college, he was part of a group that was awarded the 2010 Mark of Excellence Award for student journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists. The group earned this national award in the category of Radio In-Depth reporting-4 Year College/University for the series “Tracking Stimulus Dollars in Southwest Ohio.”
Also while in college, he worked as an intern in the sports department of WKRC-TV in Cincinnati. During his time on campus, Josh served as a broadcaster and sports talk show host for Miami’s student radio station, WMSR (redhawkradio.com ). He also served as a sports columnist for the student newspaper, The Miami Student.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys watching sports, playing softball, golfing, grilling and bicycle riding. He also attends Calvary Baptist Church in Lancaster.
